Overview of AL: Biology I
AL: Biology I is designed to give students a general understanding of the fundamental concepts of life through exploratory experiences and activities. The course covers a wide range of topics, including the scientific method, measurements, laboratory apparatus usage and safety, cell biology, cell reproduction, principles of genetics, biological change through time, classification, microbiology, structure and function of plants and animals, structure and function of the human body, and ecology. The course includes interactive laboratory activities incorporating the use of the scientific method, measurements, laboratory apparatus, and safety. To pass and complete this course, learners must read, watch, and interact with all course materials and components.
