In AL: English II provides fundamental instruction in Language Arts, covering the reading process, basic literary analysis, and essential writing skills. Students will learn strategies for reading comprehension, basic research methods, and how to write effective paragraphs. Emphasis is placed on the writing process, including prewriting, drafting, and basic editing. Speech instruction focuses on informal presentations.
