Overview of AL: English II
In AL: English II provides fundamental instruction in Language Arts, covering the reading process, basic literary analysis, and essential writing skills. Students will learn strategies for reading comprehension, basic research methods, and how to write effective paragraphs. Emphasis is placed on the writing process, including prewriting, drafting, and basic editing. Speech instruction focuses on informal presentations. Students will also learn to evaluate basic mass media and analyze different genres. Technology is integrated into the course. Completion requires engaging with all course materials. To successfully pass and complete this course, learners must read, watch, and interact with all course materials and components.
