In our third lesson we can continue looking at the second part of the videohistoria we started in the previous lesson. Focus on the reflexive verbs Susana, Jorge, and their father use to talk about their vacation schedules. Then use these reflexive verbs to talk about different routines.
Note: While reading, make a note of Jorge's regular daily routine. How do you think his routine will change when he is on vacation?
Susana and Jorge are at home eating lunch with their father.
Susana: la mama? 1:31 Donde está?
Papá: En la oficina. Ahora ustedes tienen vacaciones?, Qué planes tienen?
Jorge: Queremos ir a la playa el sábado. ¿Podemos? Papá: Sí, pero el primer autobús a Playa Jaco sale a las nueve. Con tu rutina, Jorge, debes acostarte a las diez, para levantarte a las seis de la mañana. Necesitas tiempo para ducharte, lavarte el pelo, secarte el pelo, peinarte, ponerte la ropa...
Jorge: (with a horrified look) ¿Despertarme a las seis? Normalmente me levanto temprano y me visto rápidamente para ir a la escuela, pero ¡estoy de vacaciones! Papá, ¿podemos ir a la playa en carro?
Papá: No, tengo que ir a la oficina el sábado.
Jorge: (mischievously) Puedo usar yo el carro?
