In our sixth Unit, we will have the opportunity to review some concepts from previous units before we get into our new topic. We can start reviewing food and clothing. After we go back a little, we can start working on our new vocabulary words about “LA Copa Mundial”. We will also work on adverbs with -mente, preterite of -er and -ir verbs, demonstrative adjectives, and pronouns. In this Unit, we will learn to talk about sporting events and athletes, discuss ways to stay healthy, point out specific people and things, and retell events from the past. The last lesson of the Unit will be dedicated to exploring a Spanish-speaking culture. At the end of the Unit, you will be working on a Unit project; this project will allow you to choose between 2 or 3 different options and to demonstrate what you have learned in the Unit with either a Powerpoint, Prezi, Essay, Play, Video, or Animoto presentation.
